What and How to Submit:

1. To exhibit in the Small Works Member Show, you need to be a member of Art in the Atrium First U. To become a new member or renew your membership (Membership Year: 9/1/25 - 8/31/26) and and pay $25 annual dues, go to Membership, scroll down to Join Art in the Atrium First U. You do not need to be a member of First U to be a member of Art in the Atrium First U.

2. By Saturday, November 1, 2025, submit artwork information and upload images here. Format files as JPEG images. The dimensions of each file should be high resolution images - at least 1400 pixels on a side and at least 800 KB.  Each filename should include your last name and a brief title.

 

Details - Understandings:

1. Exhibition Dates: November 20, 2025 to January 2, 2026.  Viewing hours: Monday – Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM & Sunday 9 AM to 1 PM.

2. Exhibit and Sell Up to Three Pieces of Artwork: Artwork for the show is not juried. All submitted artwork will be accepted. All artwork is for sale. All artwork is priced no higher than $250. 75% goes to the artist and 25% goes to Art in the Atrium First U to support program expenses and a cause in the wider community.

3. Size, Presentation, and Hanging Wire: Maximum size of artwork is no greater than 14 in. on the longest side. Work must be framed (or suitably presented) with hanging wire installed.

4. Liability Waiver Agreement. Artist members sign an agreement to assume all responsibility for loss or damage to their art displayed at the First Unitarian Church of Providence resulting from vandalism, theft, fire, natural disaster or any other cause. The First Unitarian Church of Providence makes no representations, nor warranties, regarding the level of security in any of its buildings.

5. Drop-Off Artwork in Atrium: Sunday, November 16, 2025, Noon to 1 PM or Monday, November 17, 2025, Noon to 1 PM. Location: Atrium at First Unitarian Church of Providence (One Benevolent St., Providence, RI 02906).

6. Installers Hang Artwork: Tuesday, November 18, 2025, 10 AM.

7. Selling Artwork: Leadership team sells artwork in the Atrium after Sunday Worship on November 23, November 30, December 7, December 14, December 21, 2025. A “sold” artwork label will replace the purchased artwork.

8. Publicity: Exhibiting member artists help promote the exhibition/opening reception with their friends, family, and followers (email, social media). Art in the Atrium First U provides a graphic image. Art in the Atrium First U promotes the show on www.aitafirstu.org

9. Opening Reception: Attend the opening on Thursday, November 20, 2025, 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Light refreshments and drinks (seltzer, juice) are provided by Art in the Atrium First U. You’re welcome to bring wine and added to refreshments.

10. Unsold Artwork Pick Up: Sunday, January 4, 2026, Noon to 1 PM or Monday, January 5, 2026, Noon to 1 PM in the Atrium.​​​​
